Equality Maryland's Jazz Brunch 2008 Hundreds of lgbt state leaders and activists came out in near record numbers to attend Equality Maryland’s (EM) sixth annual Jazz Brunch. The event is the largest Baltimore fundraiser held for the statewide lgbt civil rights organization. EM honored Isis, a transgender woman from Prince Georges County and a contestant on television’s America’s Next Top Model. EM’s executive director Dan Furmansky was also honored. Furmansky announced last spring that he was stepping down at the end of December. The event was held at Marriott Waterfront on Sunday, November 2.
