Queer Halloween Fun

Here are 13 perfectly queer ways to celebrate this Halloween! On October 27th from 8 pm to 2 am The Rowan Tree (1633 South Charles Street, Baltimore), will host their “Halloween Spooktacular.” The show begins at 8 pm, followed by a costume contest, then karaoke at 10. From October 27 to November 25, the non-profit theater troupe, the Vagabond Players, 806 S. Broadway in Baltimore, will present Little Shop of Horrors, the hilarious horror musical by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken. On October 27th and 28th at 8 pm, check out “Chocolate Covered Rocky Horror,” the first all African-American shadowcast ensemble for the Rocky Horror Picture Show, at the Baltimore City Community College Liberty Campus Fine Arts Theater (2901 Liberty Heights Avenue, Baltimore). From October 27th to 31st, at 8 pm, Iron Crow Theater, will present “The Rocky Horror Show – The Live Musical,” at The Motor House (120 West North Avenue, Baltimore), complete with call-outs and audience participation props. On Friday, October 27th at 10 pm, Mixers Bar (6037 Belair Road, Baltimore) will host their “Mixers Madness Halloween Bash” show, followed by a dance party. Happy Hour is from 5 to 9 pm, and specialty drinks will be served all night. There’s no cover and Anastasia Belladonna will be behind the bar. Costumes are welcome. Be 21 or older to enter. On Saturday, October 28th at 10 pm, Haus ov Deathglam will host “Dionysia: Trick or Treat?” at Reverb (2112 North Charles Street). Cover is $7. On Saturday, October 28th, from 9 pm to 2 am, She Productions presents “Homoween 2017: Saints and Sinners Masquerade” at Grand Central Nightclub (1001 North Charles Street). Grand Central and the Loft will be transformed into Heaven and Hell, with costume contests, two floors of music with giveaways, great drink specials, décor, and lots of debauchery. Visit for more.

On October 28th, from 9 pm to 2 am, the Attic at Flavor (15 East Centre Street, number 2) will host “Nightmare in The Attic: Women’s Halloween Party,” featuring a free spooky shot to kick the night off, body painting, a free candy bar, and music by DJ Rosie and DJ Kim “KB” Brannan. Costumes are encouraged. Cover is $5 before 10 pm, $8 after. Must be 21 or older to enter.

From October 28th to 30th from 8 pm to 2 am, the Blue Pit and Whiskey Bar (1601 Union Avenue), will host “Rocky Horror at Blue Pit.” The shadowcast will star Abbi Kadabra, Bambi Galore, Desiree Dik, Lips, Shaunda Leer, and Whimsy Thrift. On October 31zt from 5 to 9 pm, Star Track (120 Penn Street) will host “Game Night ‘Halloween Showdown Edition” with a PS4 and games available to play.
