Le Roy W. Roloff passed away at his home in Lutherville, on April 8, 2011, from pancreatic cancer. Friends fondly remember talking to Le Roy during happy hour at the Drinkery, while his partner Don bartended. He was also employed at the Club Baths in the early 1980's.
On Wednesday, April 13, 2011, family, friends and colleagues gathered at the Metropolitan Community Church of Baltimore to celebrate a life well lived, and a friend well loved. His family knew him as Earl S. Martin, most friends knew him as Martin Earle, and others knew him as simply Martinique. Whatever name he was known by, he was best known as someone who had a lasting impact on the lives he touched with a bright and beautiful smile, a gentle and generous spirit, and a kind and loving heart.
Curt Raymond Schaefer, an architect who was an advocate for the rejuvenation of aging Baltimore landmarks, died Sunday, January 16, 2011, of complications from the flu at his home on East Mount Vernon Place. He was 51.
