There is a red neon sign above the door that leads out to the patio at the Baltimore Eagle. It is a plain neon sign that reads “L/L.” I first saw that sign in 1984. It was hanging in the Gallery Bar on Maryland Avenue in Baltimore. It was placed between the front bar and the back bar. The message was quite simple. There was a dress code in the back bar. If one was not wearing leather/Levi he would very politely be asked to move to the front.

I love this time of year! A new year is like a blank piece of paper- all fresh and clean with nothing written on it yet. What will be the big news in 2012? Who will be Mr. Mid-Atlantic Leather 2012? Who will be International Ms. Leather 2012? Who will take the title of International Mr. Leather 2012? I am ready for another year. It is a chance to start again. Plus, 2012 is off to a good start!
