What’s Your Favorite Exercise?

A lot of people have asked me over the years what’s my favorite exercise, and honestly, that’s a hard question to answer. It’s so hard to pick one movement that hits the entire body and works enough muscles for me to feel satisfied! However, if I had to pick one it would be push-up to squat thrust. This motion, although predominantly done in one plane of motion, hits so many muscles and can be done in so many different ways that one could say it is a total body exercise. Now, we’ll start with the basic technique, but I will also explain how this can be done to create lean mass, explosive strength and a strong core.

Resolved to Health

Happy New Year! I hope 2012 is going to be an amazing year for us all.

With the New Year come those pesky resolutions. Some people choose to quit smoking, drive slower, floss more, and many people decide they’re going to lose weight and get in shape! That is a much more daunting task than remembering to floss every day.

The Power of the Body

Most people are really caught up on the notion that you need a gym to work out. Well, I got news for you - not true! Over the years, I personally have been involved in sports where the lighter you are the better, but you still need to be strong. The question becomes how does one accomplish this? Simple, with body weight training, light to moderate resistance training and good flexibility!
